Prestige Series Custom Orders

The Prestige Series is an homage to the prized cymbals manufactured in Turkey from the 1930s to the 1970s, particularly the "Old Stamp" models, which were made between the early 1930s and the late 1950s. 

These special instruments are forged completely by hand from bell to bow before layers of lathing, surface abrasion and burnishing treatments, and an all-natural patina coating. This creates a cymbal with extraordinary stick, low tone, mellow wash, and a "played-in" feel... with looks to match!

The Series was developed over the course of two years of research and exhaustive prototyping with input from bop drummer, educator and vintage cymbal historian Dr. Eric Binder.

Rather than "clone" a specific instrument, dozens of examples of "old K" cymbals were examined for their tone and shape, and our favorite attributes were borrowed and combined into models that capture the spirit of these sought after gems.

A true labor of love, each piece requires nearly a week of work, and the result is a canvas as unique as they artists who play them.

Lead time for custom orders is approximately 6 to 8 weeks from payment. If materials are on hand and workload allows, items may ship earlier.
